Growing our communities fund

The Growing Our Communities fund was a County Councillor led grants programme that invested in active communities by supporting projects and activities that made a positive difference to local communities over a 3 year period of 2018 – 2021.

Who could apply?

Community or voluntary groups
Registered charities
Town and parish councils
Religious groups where the application demonstrates that the project will bring wider community benefit and the primary purpose of the activity is not religious
Schools

Who decided how the grants were awarded?

This was a County Councillor led scheme. County Councillors supported applications and forwarded onto the Growing Our Communities team. The final decision on any Growing Our Communities funding awarded was made by the Director of Public Health or a delegated officer in consultation with local County Councillors.
