When can I ask for my information to object?

You can object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing at any time. This includes any profiling of data that is related to direct marketing.

However, this does not automatically mean that we need to erase your personal data, and in most cases, it will be preferable to suppress your details. Suppression involves retaining just enough information about you to ensure that your preference not to receive direct marketing is respected in future.

You can also object where we are relying on one of the following lawful bases:

  • ‘public task’ (for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest),
  • ‘public task’ (for the exercise of official authority vested in you), or
  • legitimate interests.
