Guidance creation

Educational Psychologists and Trainee Educational Psychologists in Gloucestershire worked with groups of young people, parents, school staff and multi-agency professionals including:

• Advisory Teachers;
• Early Help professionals;
• Inclusion and Outcome Coordinators;
• Youth Support Officers;
• Alternative Provision professional; and
• CAMHS practitioners.

Information shared during these working group meetings has been anonymised and thoughts and ideas from the groups have been included within this guidance.

Information from other Local Authority documents including West Sussex Educational Psychology Service (EPS), Derbyshire EPS and Devon EPS has been considered, in addition to current research literature within the United Kingdom.
