Annual Parent Carer Survey 2025 – summary report available to read now
The Annual Parent Carer Survey gives opportunity to Parent Carers and families to share their views and experiences of services across Education, Health and Social Care.
The data collected provides the Local Area Partnership with evidence of what is working well, not so well and areas for improvement that Parent Carers feel need more focus. Year on year, the data helps the Partnership measure where progress is being made.
Last year, the SEND and Inclusion Local Area Partnership annual survey had over 60% more respondents than in 2024.
Areas of improvement identified in this year’s survey include an increase in numbers of Parent Carers saying that:
- Professionals gave them clear information.
- Their child got the right help and support for their education, health and care.
- They knew where to go to provide feedback.
Areas of focus for improvement include to:
- reduce waiting times for assessments;
- increase early identification and intervention; and
- improve training for professionals.
You can read the summary report on the You Said, We Did 2026, , on the 'Have your Say' page of Gloucestershire's Local Offer, Support for Families with SEND
The annual ‘You Said, We Did’ report, which will address these areas of focus will be published later in the summer.
A co-production group of Parent Carers and professionals will review how well last year’s survey reached different communities and take any learning to recommend further improvements that would enable even more people to respond in 2026.
The next annual survey is due to open in October 2026.
