  Promoting Psychological theory, research :  Learning for All across the 0-25 age range

Gloucestershire EPS provide support to schools, settings, parents/ carers, children and young people (CYP) to promote CYP learning. Through consultative work in schools and settings we aim to consider how best to support CYP to learn and achieve at every stage of their educational journey.

Our approach is grounded in the following values:

• Every child has the right to learn/access high quality teaching and opportunities for learning

• All children have the capability/ capacity to learn and develop

• All children have the right to pursue and enjoy their personal interests

• All teachers need to be informed with the most up to date theory, research and practice to meet the needs of all CYP

• School staff to be knowledgeable about stages of learning development, and how to support CYP effectively at each stage of their development. Good quality assessment informs good quality, targeted intervention

• All educational interventions should be evidence based and evaluated over time

• For all CYP to access high quality teaching, have their individual needs identified and met early, and get the help they need to make progress

• To outline good practice to assessment and teaching of literacy and numeracy skills

• For schools, settings to provide information to parents/ carers about meeting their CYP's needs
