  Gloucestershire EPS: Language, Communication and Interaction skills

Effective communication and language skills are essential in positive outcomes for all children and young people.

We seek to,

Build capacity and skills in the children's workforce and parents

Promote the benefits of language rich and developmentally appropriate environments, presentation of educational and social emotional curriculums

Build capacity and understanding for social communication difficulties, promoting for resilient and aspirational young people  

Helping children and young people with speaking, listening, and getting on together for learning can involve thinking about,

• Language as a Tool (knowledge, expression, sociability)

• Developmental change in skill development

• When English is an additional language

• When talking, listening and/or understanding are particularly difficult
