Sladewood Academy

In order to meet a growing demand for special school places a new 60 place special school for children aged 4-11 years with Moderate and Additional Learning Difficulties (MALD) opened in September 2023.

The former Severn View Primary Academy site in Stroud. Through a free school presumption process held in June 2022 SAND Academy Trust were appointed to run the new school.

Over £1 million has been spent to refurbish the old Severn View Primary School in Stroud.

The building has been refurbished and includes new breakout, therapy and intervention rooms, a new kitchen for the on-site cooking of school meals, and a dedicated pick-up and drop-off point for school transport.
