Wraparound care childcare

These pages will help you understand wraparound provision and the current changes that are taking place within this field.

The government's ambition is that by September 2026, all parents and carers of primary school-aged children who need it will be able to access term time childcare from 8am-6pm.

Schools can provide wraparound care if there is sufficient demand, either on their own site or nearby, or they can signpost to childminders or out of school clubs in the area.
