Our vision for Family Hubs

We want all children and young people to have the best start in life, with the support of family, community and services which help all children and young people to achieve their potential and go on to live lives of choice and opportunity.

Our Children and Family Centres will play a key part in the development of Family Hubs which will enable families with children and young people (ages 0 to 19, or up to 25 for those with special needs) to benefit from a wide range of services and support in one place. They can also guide families to other helpful organisations when needed.

Located across the county, Family Hubs will make it easier to find local services and support, so that all families can get the right help, at the right time, in the right place.

Family Hubs will:
• Provide a welcoming, inclusive and safe space for families of all backgrounds
• Bring together services from health, early help, voluntary and 
community organisations
• Support happiness, wellness, safety, physical and mental health
• Be part of a wider network of physical and virtual 
family support points across Gloucestershire.
