The Forest of Dean Health Forum Relaunch transforms a small volunteer-led committee into a robust, community-driven health advocacy forum. Wyldwood’s sessions will be co-created with participants and facilitators, shaped by perspectives on art, baking as heritage and catharsis, celebrating different cultures, and healthy eating. This project aims to provide safer, more accessible spaces for those with learning and physical disabilities and sensory impairments. We aim to provide warm, welcoming and inclusive spaces, creative, social and independence-building activities, and introductions to health, training, advice and support organisations. By widening participation, more people will feel confident to connect with the support or activities we offer and continue their social, independence and skills journeys.

The aim of the Expanding Outreach Project is to continue providing wellbeing support for the benefit of the whole community to enable residents, particularly those with mental and other health needs, to have a better life. Mindsong - £7,500.00

Our aim is to tackle isolation, especially for people who do not yet have dementia, but we know that isolation and lack of stimulation is a common trigger. We get people participating group activities where people can sing solos, bring poems or recipes or suggest songs for the group. We are now looking to expand the Sing 2 Remember work again into areas where we’ve identified both need and health inequality. We will begin in Sheppard House, Newent in October and Matson early next year.. Sing 2 Remember groups are social, and community based, with supporting local volunteers and an experienced paid vocal leader.
