Mental health and wellbeing
Public Health work alongside other statutory, voluntary & community sector partners, as well as with people with lived experience of mental ill health, to improve mental health and prevent mental illness across Gloucestershire.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to achieve good mental health and wellbeing.
Our work focuses on three key, overlapping areas of public mental health across the life course:
- Mental health promotion,
- Prevention of mental health problems and suicide prevention,
- Reducing premature mortality, supporting recovery and improving inclusion of people living with mental health problems.
