Flood warning codes

Make sure you understand what the different flood warning codes issued by the Environment Agency mean and what to do if you receive one. The possible flood warnings include flood alert, flood warning and severe flood warning.

Please be aware the ‘Severe Flood Warning’ symbol may be issued after some flooding has already occurred.
