The council has committed to planting one million trees. We're now looking for landowners to come forward and offer land to plant over the course of the project; the land must be right for tree planting.

We have funding to plant trees in urban areas and to extend existing woodlands. If you are interested in any of the schemes below please complete our expression of interest form.

Composting at home can help you save money, reduce your carbon emissions, learn about nature and reduce the amount of waste that your home produces.  

There is nothing more satisfying than using your home made compost to grow your own vegetables and flowers. See recycling in action in your own garden or home!

Whether you have a garden, yard or indoor space only there are lots of ways you can compost at home.
