Gloucestershire Biodiversity Week 2025 was held from 22 May to 31 May. The week promoted action across the county to protect biodiversity and connect habitats.

This year, we focussed on soil health and composting πŸ›πŸžπŸπŸŒΌπŸ„

Soil is essential for growing food, storing carbon dioxide and supporting biodiversity, but it is often overlooked. The week hopes to highlight why soil is important and how you can improve soil health in your local spaces.

From composting, no mow verges, hedgehog holes and wildlife ponds to growing your own food there is loads you can do to help biodiversity 😊🌳🐝
