Local Aggregates Assessment (LAA)
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requires minerals planning authorities to plan for a steady and adequate supply of aggregates. To achieve this consideration must be given to the outcomes of annually-prepared Local Aggregates Assessments (LAAs).
The LAA for Gloucestershire is made up of the following: -
- information about the supply of aggregates and remaining reserves from mineral sites within Gloucestershire;
- an analysis of future aggregate supply options affecting the county and a review of future demand; and
- conclusions and recommendations for minerals planning purposes
