Welcome message from ACFO Mick Berry

On behalf of the Strategic Leadership Team and everyone at Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, thank you for your interest in joining us as an Area Manager.

This is an important appointment for the Service. We are delivering our Community Risk Management Plan 2026-2030, continuing our improvement journey, and building a positive workplace culture that enables our people to deliver high standards of community safety and emergency response.

We are looking for leaders who combine operational credibility with humility, integrity and the ability to bring people with them. The successful candidates will help us deliver visible improvement, strengthen trust and confidence, support our people, and ensure the Service is ready for the risks, demands and opportunities ahead.
