Levelling up together decisions and projects
The Levelling Up Together grant scheme was highly competitive and received 127 applications, totalling approximately £7.4 million. The Levelling Up Together Fund was £1.5 million.
The decision-making process was thorough, and included/took into consideration:
- Application scores (obtained using a standardised scoring matrix) and feedback from public health colleagues
- Feedback from county councillors representing the eligible areas
- Feedback from district council colleagues
- Feedback from education and employment, skills, and training county council colleagues (where appropriate)
- Decision making panels comprising Siobhan Farmer (Director of Public Health), Councillor Mark Hawthorne (Leader of the Council) and Steve Mawson (Director of Corporate Resources)
In total, 52 Levelling Up Together grants will be awarded.
