A welcome from Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum (GPCF). In this article the GPCF share news about the some of the meetings and boards they'll be attending, ensuring that Parent Carer voice, and that of their families, is heard. Summer Fun and Support for Families with SEND in Gloucestershire. In this article, GPCF tell us about a range of inclusive, welcoming activities designed with Parent Carers and children in mind, from relaxed Stay and Play sessions to supportive peer groups and family fun days, alongside extra help through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, where needed. In this article, Parent Carers of SEND children and young people in Gloucestershire share opportunities that make caring for a child or young person with SEND, especially during the holiday period, a little easier and if you are planning activities with your family it also offers some suggestions about the various discount cards that are available. How the Local Authority identifies a school for children and young people with an EHCP. This article looks at how having an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and engaging in consultations with schools can at times feel overwhelming and offers information to help demystify the process and support you to make informed decisions, alongside the case co-ordinator for your child or young person, who is there to guide and support you.
