Details of our centrally held suite of training events, available to all College, Post-16, and School settings' staff across County.
09 October 2026 : Attachment and Trauma | 09:00-15:00
This course aims to develop school staff's understanding of trauma and attachment and to
explore effective ways of supporting children and young people who may have experienced
trauma and/or have attachment-related needs.
12 November 2026 : Supporting Autistic Girls | 09:00-16:00
A practical course providing greater insight, understanding and effective strategies to support autistic girls within educational settings.

19 November 2026 : Transition to Adulthood | 09:00-16:00
A course to consider factors which can promote a positive transition for post-16 students. It provides information about pathways available to young people after they finish school and move to college, employment or training, and how to support them to make informed choices, build employability and readiness skills. It will include opportunities to reflect and apply learning through case study discussions.
03 December 2026 : An Introduction to Emotion Coaching

Emotion Coaching is recognised for aiding children in regulating, enhancing, and taking responsibility for their behaviour, as well as deepening their understanding of their emotions. This whole day course offers an introduction to Emotion Coaching, tailored for all school staff and associated professionals.

A Year 6 transition intervention. We host two events this year.

This course aims to develop school staff understanding of behaviour as a form of communication and increase confidence in using effective, relational approaches to support positive behaviour change.
05 March 2027 : Preparing for a Traumatic Event | 09:00-16:00
Questions that will be answered:
Why is it essential for school leaders to be prepared to respond to a critical incident or traumatic event? What special provisions are needed to support the setting's pupils and staff across a wide range of probable incidents?
What do school leaders need to be able to support pupils and staff in order to mitigate the effects of a critical incident?
15 April 2027 : Recognising Behaviour as Communication: Using relational approaches | 15:40-17:10 - ONLINE via TEAMS
This course aims to develop school staff understanding of behaviour as a form of communication and increase confidence in using effective, relational approaches to support positive behaviour change.
19 April 2027 : Supporting Anxious, Neurodiverse Children in School | 09:00-16:00
This practical and evidence-informed course explores how anxiety presents in neurodivergent children and young people, and how schools can respond effectively.
28 May 2027 : Promoting Cognitive Skills and Independence in Learning | 09:00-16:00
This course aims to develop school staff understanding of behaviour as a form of communication and increase confidence in using effective, relational approaches to support positive behaviour change.
